1. Definitions
In these Terms of Service:
- "We", "Us", "Our" refers to Be Ready Australia (trading as Queensland Ready Kits), ABN 61617343084, operated by Mr Matthew Currington
- "You", "Your" refers to the user or purchaser of our products and services
- "Website" refers to qldreadykits.com and all associated subdomains
- "Products" refers to all emergency preparedness kits, supplies, and goods sold through our website
- "Services" refers to the website, e-commerce platform, and customer support we provide
- "ACL" refers to Australian Consumer Law under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)

Order Process
- Select products and add them to your cart
- Proceed to checkout and provide accurate delivery and billing information
- Review your order summary, including all costs
- Complete payment through our secure Stripe payment gateway
- Receive order confirmation via email
Order Acceptance
Important: Your order is an offer to purchase products. We reserve the right to accept or decline your order for any reason, including but not limited to:

- Pricing errors
- Suspected fraudulent activity
- Inability to authorize payment
- Delivery address outside our shipping areas
A contract between you and us is formed only when we send you an order confirmation email. This email confirms that we have accepted your order.
Payment Methods
We accept the following payment methods via Stripe:
- Visa, Mastercard, American Express credit cards
- Visa and Mastercard debit cards
- Additional payment methods as supported by Stripe in Australia
All payments are processed securely by Stripe, a PCI DSS Level 1 certified payment processor. We do not store your complete credit card details on our servers.

By providing payment information, you authorize us to charge your payment method for:
- The total order amount (including shipping and GST when applicable)
- Any additional costs disclosed during checkout
5. Pricing and Availability
Pricing
- All prices are displayed in Australian Dollars (AUD)
- Prices are GST inclusive (when registered for GST)
- Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on delivery location
- We reserve the right to change prices at any time without notice
- Price changes do not affect orders already confirmed
Pricing Errors
Despite our best efforts, pricing errors may occur. If we discover a pricing error after you've placed an order, we will:
- Contact you via email or phone to inform you of the error
- Offer you the option to:
- Purchase the product at the correct price, OR
- Cancel your order for a full refund
Product Availability
- Product availability is subject to change without notice
- We make reasonable efforts to ensure stock levels are accurate
- If a product becomes unavailable after you order, we will contact you to discuss alternatives or refunds
- We reserve the right to limit quantities purchased per customer
Shelf Life Guarantee: All emergency food items will have a minimum of 6 months shelf life remaining at the time of shipment. If you receive items with less than 6 months remaining, contact us for a full refund or replacement.
6. Australian Consumer Law Guarantees
Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
For major failures with the goods or services, you are entitled to:
- • Cancel your service contract with us; and
- • A refund for the unused portion, or to compensation for its reduced value
You are also entitled to be compensated for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. If the failure does not amount to a major failure, you are entitled to have problems with the goods or services rectified in a reasonable time. If this is not done, you may cancel your contract and obtain a refund for the unused portion of the contract.

7. Product Use and Disclaimers
Emergency Preparedness Disclaimer
Important: Our emergency preparedness kits are designed to assist you in emergency situations, but they are not a guarantee of survival or safety.
- • Emergency kits are tools to assist preparedness, not comprehensive survival solutions
- • You should supplement kits with personal items, medications, and specific needs
- • Follow official emergency service advice during disasters (QFES, SES, Police)
- • Kits should be part of a broader emergency plan including evacuation routes, communication plans, and insurance
Medical and First Aid Disclaimer
Our kits contain basic first aid supplies but are NOT a substitute for professional medical care.
- • In a medical emergency, always call 000 for professional help
- • First aid items are TGA compliant but should be used only by those with appropriate training
- • We are not medical professionals and do not provide medical advice
- • Consult your doctor about medications and specific medical needs for your emergency kit
Food Safety Disclaimer
Emergency food items have a 5-year shelf life when stored correctly:
- Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight
- Check expiry dates regularly and rotate stock
- Do not consume food items past their expiry date
- Follow preparation instructions on individual food packages
Product Maintenance
You are responsible for:
- Regularly inspecting your kit (recommended: every 6 months)
- Replacing expired items and batteries
- Updating personal information and contact lists
- Familiarizing yourself with kit contents and their use
8. Order Cancellation
Cancellation by You
You may cancel your order:
- Before shipment: Full refund if cancelled within 24 hours of order placement
- After shipment: Follow our standard return process (see Refund Policy)

Cancellation by Us
We may cancel your order if:
- Product is out of stock or unavailable
- Pricing error occurred
- We cannot verify payment or detect suspected fraud
- Delivery address is outside our shipping areas
- Force majeure events prevent fulfillment
If we cancel your order, you will receive a full refund within 7-14 business days.
